Hwy 97 Task Force is dedicated to working with MOTI and our local community …

to find a way to address increasing traffic, population, and density, while offering safety, economic, environmental, social, cultural and aesthetic improvement to Highway 97.

Maintaining the charm of our community is essential

Our Mission

Our community as a jewel in the Okanagan Valley. Our ambient quiet lakeside village is located in wonderful natural surroundings. We are a destination to get away from the everyday hustle. This is the beauty of the town of Peachland.

Whether you enjoy a peaceful stroll along our walkway, hang out with family at swim bay, indulge in delicious pastries and hot coffee as the sun dancing off the lake, knock off some retail therapy at our quality stores, tour our historical building and museum, count bats, get car envy at our World of Wheels, challenge yourself in our Rattlesnake swim and polar bear dip or satisfy your taste buds at one of our many restaurants.

People travel to Peachland to enjoy our charm.

We are a destination and we want you to enjoy peachland for years to come!

We understand that development is required as our population and density increases.

Expansion of our town requires flat or semi-flat land.

By creating a bypass route, we will be able to open up new areas for development, expand housing, create commercial areas and possible industrial facilities.

Growth helps add to our tax base and provides Peachland with URBAN SUSTAINABILITY.

Our membership maintains that responsible planning and infrastructure is the key to assuring that growth occurs without destroying the positive qualities we enjoy today.

A true BYPASS to build for our future expansion and a second crossing bridge is VISION.
