Honouring our community, while building for a sustainable future

Highway 97 has been described as a major north-south transportation corridor and trade route between Canada and the United States. Given increased trade, population growth projections and developmental pressures, improvements must be made to highway 97 to keep up with increased volumes of traffic.

How this is done is of great importance.

Imagine adding 2 more lanes to our existing Hwy 97 with more lights and years under construction.

Will people want to travel here in the chaos of the road construction?

Will you enjoy living through the construction?

Will our stores, restaurants & community survive the chaos?

Imagine a 4 lane freeway bisecting our community affecting substantial properties and loss of a tax base of 105 to 120 residences, who will pick up the tax loss? …

Will either of the shortlist options provide to our community provide us with a SOLUTION and a sustainable opportunity for growth?

We encourage you to write a letter to let your voice be heard. This is NOT an issue to be complacent on.

A decision will be made that will impact all of us.
